9.03.18 – (LAA/LUS) – TBS & LRD Tool Open/Acronyms Defined/PBS Standing Bid/New PBS Bidding Timelines

TBS Open for October Bid Month – LUS

The Training Bidding System (TBS)‌​‌‌​‌​​‌​‌‌​‌​‌‍ is the system used for bidding Continuing Qualification (CQ) Training. TBS awards CQ training, in seniority order, based on your status (early, base or grace) and the priority of the preferences you have selected.

TBS is now open via the new FA Crew Portal. ‍​‌‌​‌‌​‌​​‌​‌‌​‌​‌‍TBS is only available if you are bidding for CQ in your base month, grace month, or one month prior to your base month.

TBS Opens Monthly: 1st of the month at Noon (CT)
TBS Closes Monthly: 6th of the month at Noon (CT)

LRD Tool Open for October Bid Month – LUS

You now have access to the Lineholder/Reserve Designator (LRD) Tool via the the new FA Crew Portal to view your October status (as a Lineholder or Reserve) for the October 2018 bid month.
 

LRD Opens Monthly: 3rd of the month at Noon (CT)
LRD Closes Monthly: 7th of the month at Noon (CT)

Note: If you bid onto Reserve out of your Regular Rotation (Senior Bump), it changes your future Reserve Rotation. A Flight Attendant who Senior Bumps and has more than three (3) vacation days in that bid month has not fulfilled their Reserve obligation. Also, if a Flight Attendant transfers to a base where her/his seniority places her/him in the Reserve duty group, she/he will be scheduled on Reserve the first full scheduling month that she/he is at the new base.

Acronyms Defined

PBS Standing Bid – LUS

Current PBS standing bids in the current LUS Crew Portal will no longer be accessible on Friday, September 7th. It is important that you copy your standing bids and take screenshots. You will create a new standing bid in the FA Crew Portal when it opens for October PBS on September 10th.

PBS Opens Monthly: 10th of the month at Noon (CT)
PBS Closes Monthly: 15th of the month at Noon (CT)
PBS Awards Visible in PBS: 18th of the month
PBS Awards Final: 20th of the month at Noon (CT)
