Happy New Year to Everyone

On behalf of your APFA LGA Base team we would all like to wish you a very Happy New Year. The new year 2019 will bring many changes to the company as well as our base. Raymond Lewis has left LGA as of January 1 and Cathy Ryder will be stepping up as Base President for the remainder of the term which ends March 31. The position of Base Vice President will be filled as per the APFA constitution.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish Raymond the best at his new base. It has been a sincere pleasure working with him side by side, and learning from him. Raymond’s strong leadership, tenacity, and integrity will be missed.

PBS Goes Live in January

Starting with the January bid run American will be implementing PBS at every base in the system, with the exception of DFW and MIA. The Navigation Centers in LGA and JFK operations are there to answer any questions you may have, as well as the FABRC.

If you have a standing bid that you have been using in your mock bidding this will not automatically transfer over to live production bidding. If you are happy with your standing bid, please take a screenshot of your standing bid so you can enter it when bidding opens on January 10th, 2019. All current standing bids in mock bidding will be erased on December 31st, 2018.

Grievance Hearing Scheduled

The Presidential Grievance regarding the Flight Attendant Attendance and Performance Program that was filed August 16, 2018 is scheduled to be heard February 26th and 27th, in DFW. The location of the meeting hasn’t been determined.  Stay tuned.  All members in good standing are encouraged to attend.

BOD Meeting

The APFA Board of Directors Annual Convention will be held March 4-7, 2019 in Boston.Members in good standing are welcome to attend all open portions of the meeting.

Many issues that arise on a daily basis are issues that can be solved by your Flight Service Manager. When emailing your FSM remember to cc: Cathy Ryder, [email protected], usingyour personal email address.
