Scheduling/Contract Training is coming to ORD in April
**************************************************************Allocation Call Highlights:

–New Data: We are used to looking at “bid job” numbers for ORD/MSP to gauge the amount flying coming into or going out of the base.

Going forward we will see “scheduled sequence hours” by origination airport. Dividing the total hours by 80 will give a ROUGH number that equates to old bid job number.

ORD FEB current 129,042. MAR increase 8635 = Approximately 107 job increase Month to Month (M/M)

–The line average is a slightly higher compared to FEB. The line average is projected to increase incrementally thru the summer as the seasonal flying returns.

–We continue to ask for lower % of 4-day trips and MAR is slightly lower M/M.  Planning is making an effort to make the 4-day “commutable” if they must remain in the bid packet. The Company’s definition of commutable is report/sign-in after Noon, release/debrief by 1700.

–We are getting mixed reviews on the 4-day trips. Please continue to share your feedback.

–The increase in ODAN sequences was addressed. Crew Planning spoke about adding a restriction to the optimizer to push 2-day flying with 2 duty periods which would be a true 2-day vs ODAN. Please provide feedback on these trips.

Lineholder: 1862
Reserves: 343

Attendance Policy: The Arbitration for the Presidential Grievance on the Attendance Policy has been postponed. We continue to fight for ORD Flight Attendants and provide HDQ any documents to support the case. All Flight Attendants should review their Attendance/Performance point in “MyView” on the Flight Service page.  Any discrepancies should be brought to the attention of the FSM and the Union.

Early Boarding: As a reminder, Sections 11.M and 14.F of the JCBA specifically state when Flight Attendants will be required to be onboard the aircraft ready to receive passengers.  Please document any violations. The data will be used to support the Presidential Grievance.

Base Grievance: JCBA Sect 10.C.3 requires specific information be published on each sequence in the bid package. Two items are missing; minimum rest requirement after each duty period (10.C.3.i) and transportation and hotel contact telephone numbers (10.C.3.m). A Base Grievance was heard and denied. The case now moves up to the System Board of Adjustment at APFA HDQ.

System Issues: Please continue to use the Scheduling System Issues Report Form >> to report TTS/ETB/ROTA issues. Our team continues to work for resolutions to violations and program fixes.

For those on Facebook, the APFA Official Contract Q & A Page has been activated.  This is another way our members can reach the APFA for factual information and answers to questions related to the JCBA and our job function.

We continue to collect data on uniform reactions. APFA ‘s Uniform Reaction Report Form >>

As always, we remain available for questions. Please include your employee number when you communicate with us. If you contact other Union Reps for the same issue, say that as well so work is not duplicated. APFA ORD Base Page >>
