Manning Information

• 6225 Headcount for July. Increase of 90 from June. Increase of 586 year over year.

• 5864 Available Headcount at DFW. Increase of 125 from June. Increase of 446 year over year.

• 4657 Bid jobs are planned. Loss of 8 bid jobs from June. Increase of 291 jobs year over year.

• 1207 (20.6%) Flight Attendants are planned to serve reserve in July.

• Limited VLOA’s may be awarded for DFW

• VLOA opened 03JUN and closes noon DFW time on 07JUN

• DFW will receive new hire Fight Attendants graduating in June. New Hire Flight Attendants will be placed on straight Reserve after graduation for one year in accordance with the JCBA.

DFW Concerns

Sit/Connect times remain higher than normal. Optimizer programming maintains the 80-minute minimum connect time on most domestic flights. As a result, long connections (sit time) continue for many pairings. Crews may experience longer than normal connect times when they are connecting through hub cities. The company has implemented these changes due to aircraft reliability on day of operation. Extensive sit/connect times often result in longer duty days and shorter layovers with little to no financial gain. We will continue to voice our concerns and advocate for change.

High time turns continue to dissipate. We emphasize the desirability of these trips to the company monthly. High time turns are productive and allow both senior and junior Flight Attendants the opportunity to accumulate hours quickly. We have asked for improvements in quantity and quality for all turns at the base.

Due to the high number of ODANS built system wide in June, Allocations adjusted optimizer programming. The result is fewer ODANS at DFW for July.

We asked for a slight tweak in programming to increase ODANS for the base. Many Flight Attendants enjoy the flexibility these trips provide.

The base continues to address the lack of commutable two and three day trips with the Allocations Department. Four-day trips continue to be built with specific commutable parameters.
