Thank you to all who joined us for the BOS Negotiating Committee Meeting on 24SEP19. Systemwide, we had the largest percentage (10%) of members attend. We might be small, but we are mighty. Many thanks to our Base Mobilizer, Brian O’Connell for rallying the troops! Our sincerest thanks to the entire APFA Negotiating Committee for taking the time to visit the base. It was a very informative meeting.

The Reserve Round Table was held on 26SEP, Base Vice President, Kelli (21 years, still serving Rotating Reserve) flew down to represent BOS. A variety of topics were discussed and it was a great way to hear concerns and suggestions directly from APFA members. Topics included: Rotation/Straight/Hybrid, Vacation/Proration, Reserve Crew Base Rest, Flex Days/Golden Day, VLOA, Month-to-Month Transition, Standby Reserve, ROTA/D, ROTA and RAPs.

APFA National Officers, the Negotiating Committee, the Joint Scheduling Implementation Committee (JSIC), and the National Department Chairs & Specialists will host a Telephone Town Hall Thursday, October 10th, 12:00 to 1:00 pm CDT.

October 2019 APFA SPOTLIGHT: HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED WITH APFA?

APFA elections are just around the corner. Willingness-to-Serve will be coming out soon. Be on the look out.

BOS is looking for Base Council Representatives (BCR) and an additional Employee Assistance Program Representative (EAP). There are also opportunities to go to JCBA Training and become a Scheduling/Contract Desk Representative. Please contact Amy or Kelli if you are interested.
