PHL January Allocations

For the month of January our total headcount is 2705. The available headcount is 2432 with line holders needed at 1827 and reserves needed at 605. Our year over year head count is 2686 which is up by 19. Our available headcount was 2398 while are line holders are up 80 and are reserves are down 46.
The company will be offering VLOA’s for the month of January in PHL.  The initial number was 58, we have requested additional leaves, it is possible we could end up with a few more.  January of 2019, the company offered 28 VLOA’s

Keep in mind if additional leaves are offered that will increase the line average, slightly.

We have an increase in our ODAN’s for the month of January.

When bidding for January please remember the following dates, January 1^st, January 20^th MLK Day, and Superbowl Weekend.

As a reminder that the 787 is coming to PHL starting in January. The routes will be AMS, MAN, and ZRH. If an insufficient number of requests are received for training, Flight Attendants may be drafted (assigned) training in reverse seniority order.

January 7th marks introduction of the 787 fleet to PHL. The international 787 flying (PHL-AMS, PHL-MAN, and PHL-ZRH) will be crewed by PHL. The domestic 787 flying is allocated on a free flow basis, resulting in the domestic 787 flying to/from PHL being split between DFW, LAX, and PHL crews for January.

When reviewing the staffing on the 787-800 for January, it will be staffed with the FAA minimum which is 8 flight attendants, which is how the company staffs this aircraft on IPD flights.  This is a change for our base as we have always had the additional flight attendant over the FAA minimum.
