LGA Member Activist – Let’s Get the Word Out!
As a LGA Member Activist you already know the importance of voting in the upcoming National Officer election. In the upcoming weeks we would like our New York Activists to engage with their coworkers and begin talking about the lack of voter turnout for our recent election. Here are some talking points to ask your fellow crew members.

Did you receive  your ballot for the election last month?

Yes? Great! You will be receiving a new ballot for the run-off election shortly.  The ballots are being mailed today, February 7th and due in the designated post box by 10 am CST, March 9th. Please keep an eye out for it and mail it in as soon as possible.

No? Okay, do you know what address the Union has for you? In order for your ballot to reach you APFA has to have a current mailing address for you. The Company does not supply APFA with any address that you have listed either in Jetnet or on the Flight Service website. You have to inform APFA where to send your ballot. If you receive mail at your commuter pad consider changing your APFA address to your local address in order to receive your ballot in a timely manner.
To check to see if your address is correct, you may contact the Membership Department at [email protected] or 817-540-0108 ext. 8153.  The roster has already been sent to the balloting company with whatever address APFA has on file for you. You may contact the membership department and they will forward your address and request to the Ballot Committee.

The last day to request a ballot is March 2, but we ask that you not wait that long as the mail can be unreliable.  Also, the ballot must be returned to the PO Box on the ballot. The APFA drop boxes outside the APFA offices at JFK and LGA are not post office boxes and should not be used to mail your ballots back. Your ballot should be mailed back in a United States Post Office box or at your local US Post Office.

Dues
If you are not dues current you can still vote in this election as long as you become dues current by 5 pm CST March 4th for your vote to count. If you have any questions about your dues, or you would like to set up a repayment plan contact the Dues Department at [email protected]. or 817-540-0108 ext. 8151.

Lets Get The Vote Out!

Let’s try to get the highest voter turn out. You can help by voting and reminding your coworkers to do the same.

Candidate Information
