Honoring the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr. lead the civil rights movement and confronted racial inequality through peaceful protests and rallies. Although it has been over 50 years since his assassination in 1968, Dr. King’s legacy lives on in his powerful words. These words continue to inspire and influence us all today.

Today, we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. King. This extraordinary man paved the way for many of us today. Dr. King believed in a nation of freedom and justice for all and applied principles of peace and equality among all races. We still have a long road ahead of us. Listening to each other allows us to learn from each other, and those are the first steps to coming together for the greater good.
