Winter Storm Uri: Using Vacation for Lost Time

DFW Flight Attendants,

Yesterday, APFA secured a Letter of Agreement which will allow DFW-based Flight Attendants to use vacation to cover lost time due to Winter Storm Uri. Select vacation days may be used for an unprotected full sequence cancellation, a qualifying Unable to Commute event (JCBA 37.I), or a Personal Day (PO) removal/s as a result of the storm. The following vacation days may be used to mitigate the loss of time:

• Unscheduled 2020/2021 vacation days not used as a result of a Leave of Absence
• Unused 2020/2021 Filler Days
• April 2021 scheduled vacation days.

If you allocate seven (7) or more vacation days, those days will pay 4 hours/day. Blocks of six (6) or less vacation days will pay 3.5 hours/day. Both Reserve and Lineholder vacation will be pay and credit. Reserve vacation will be part of the Reserve guarantee.
