PBS Maximum Line Value Flexed for July 2021

Please be aware that the Company has advised APFA the maximum line value for the PHX base will be flexed by 1 hour in the PBS Bid for July. (JCBA Section 10.D.13.d.)

What does this mean? The flex of 1 hour will adjust the default TCR (Target Credit Range) to 71-91. With the flex of 1 hour, you could see your schedule go to 91 hours. The Company’s decision will also affect the Reserve Call Out of Time. With the 1 hour flex in place, the Company can schedule a Reserve up to 91 hours. Thus making 86:01 hours the magic number a Reserve must have to call out of time. (JCBA Section 12.L.)

If you are a high-time flier, please note the higher than customarily expected line average of 83:50. If you prefer to fly high-time, you are encouraged to bid for your desired hours in PBS. For those who prefer schedules lower than the projected average line value, please ensure your pairing pools include enough trips available at your seniority to accommodate a line built to 70+ hours.

In PBS, the ability to be awarded low time is based on the number of Flight Attendants bidding for high time. It is expected the required minimum of 70, or higher, hours will show up at certain seniorities.

June 2021

• Minimum 70 hours enforced at bid position 118

 

July 2019

• Minimum 70 hours enforced at 18% of Line Holders (Estimated)
• Minimum 78 hours enforced at 73% of Line Holders (Estimated)

 

July 2018

• Minimum 70 hours enforced at bid position number 2

 

**Please note that in July 2020, during the pandemic peak, PHX had an allowed maximum of 82 hours at bid position 118.

Aircraft and Service Training

There may not be a specific ballot for the PHX base if you wish to bid for aircraft qualifications or service training.  Please utilize the RBEST Training Ballot to bid for the class you want to attend. Bidding is open between 1200 CT on the 1st of every month and closes at 1200 CT on the 6th of every month.

T4 Rooftop Parking Reminder and Update

The City of Phoenix has completed its audit of the rooftop parking program. As a result, PHX Flight Service has been awarded a limited number of additional rooftop parking spaces. Please review the important details below:

To apply for rooftop parking privileges:

• Submit a NEW Parking Agreement Form to [email protected]. Subject line: Terminal 4 Rooftop Application. Forms must be signed and completed in its entirety.
• If you applied previously and were on a ‘waitlist’ you MUST REAPPLY.
• Forms must be received by PHX Flight Service by 0800 on Thursday, June 17, 2021
• Forms received after the deadline will be placed on the waitlist
• Notification of the award will be made on Thursday, June 24, 2021

 

Flight Attendants on EVLOA with T4 Rooftop Parking Prior to beginning leave:

Q: Will I receive my T4 Rooftop Parking card back at the end of my EVLOA?
A: Yes. You will need to visit the PHX Crew Service Center before your first trip and pick up your parking card from Marie Kiszczak. Her hours are 0700-1700 Monday – Thursday.

Q: Will the $40 fee per month be waived until I return from my EVLOA?
A: No. You will be responsible for paying the $40 per month beginning in July. The fee is not waived through the end of the EVLOA because the City of Phoenix views the leave as voluntary. The City of Phoenix is holding your parking privilege and cannot give that spot to a different employee.
