EVLOA Recalls May Use TBS to Bid for CQ

One of the biggest challenges of recalling Flight Attendants from EVLOA has been the logistics of CQ training. The majority of those on EVLOA are QI and must attend CQ prior to their return to work. This week APFA and the Company agreed on a process to allow for most Flight Attendants on an EVLOA who are also QI to use the Training Bidding System (TBS) to bid for September and October CQ classes.

The most junior Flight Attendants who are returning in November have already been assigned training in August. The training department has committed to reaching out individually to all of those assigned training. Those with the earliest assigned training dates will be contacted first. If you have been assigned a training class and would like to trade to a different class, submit a Training Enrollment Request form in Comply365  > My Forms > AAFA > Training > Training Enrollment Request Form.

For the remaining EVLOA recalls not scheduled for August CQ, TBS is currently open, and you may bid for CQ training classes in September. If you are QI and are returning in November but have not been assigned an August training class, we encourage you to bid for a September training class in TBS. If you don’t bid, you will be assigned a training class in September.

Those returning in December may also bid for training in September. The most junior 150 December recalls who are QI will be assigned in September if they do not bid. Those that are not subject to assignment will have the opportunity to bid September 1st through September 6th for an October CQ class.

If you are on EVLOA and are not QI, and your base month is coming up, you should use TBS as normal to bid for your CQ training class.

CQ Training Bidding System (TBS) Deadline Extended

The TBS bidding window has been extended this month to give the Flight Attendants on EVLOA time to submit their bids. TBS will now close on August 8th at 0800 (CDT), and awards will be posted by August 8th at 1400 (CDT).
