WELCOME PHL NEW HIRES

We are welcoming new hire Flight Attendants around the system beginning next week through December. Currently, PHL is expecting to welcome 136 from the first four classes. Base indocs will occur every Monday, and they will be on duty and available to fly the following day. There are two more classes this year. If PHL is receiving anyone from those classes, I will let you know.

NEGOTIATIONS SURVEY
Our negotiating team has put out a survey to the membership; please take the time to provide your input and feedback. The link may be found here.

CONTRACT ACTION TEAM
Our negotiating committee consists of six Flight Attendants, National President Julie Hedrick, and AFA Negotiating Attorney Joe Burns. They are just eight people, but their power is in our numbers– 24,000 people speaking with one voice.

We have to stand behind our team to give them the power to negotiate an industry-leading agreement and get it done in a timely manner. We do not want to wait years for an agreement.   To do that, we are calling on you to help. Please sign up to be part of our Contract ACTION Team. We are building a network, so when the time comes and our team is getting down and dirty at the bargaining table, we are locked and loaded, ready for action.

What do we need from you? Sign up to be part of this ACTION team, sign up for hotlines, share them with your flying partners. Wear your APFA pin– show the company which side of the line you are willing to walk on. Volunteer to carry handouts and swags, such as leaflets with information and education, APFA bag tags, and APFA pins.

In closing, I would like to take a moment and thank each one of you for a job well done. The last few weeks have been a nightmare, to say the least, not to mention the previous 20 months of dealing with the pandemic, and it’s not over. However, with the EVLOA’s returning and new hires coming on the line weekly, we are hopeful this is a sign of better things to come.
