APFA ORD Base Brief

The month is flying by; spring will soon be upon us! These last few weeks have been hectic. There has been a lot going on, we wanted to send out an email to ensure you are staying as informed as possible.

ODAN FLYING SURVEY

In the March 2022 Allocations Base Brief, we mentioned how the company has recently implemented a change regarding the number of ODANs for Chicago. Their decision was made citing the upcoming 10-Hour minimum rest rule and how they believe this will impact the ability to bid ODANs back-to-back.

To make sure we are capturing the ODAN desires of Chicago, we have created a very informal/brief survey asking questions specific to ODAN flying. This survey is optional.

If you fly ODANs or have ever flown an ODAN, please fill out this survey. Send this to your Chicago-based friends that also fly ODANs. This survey will remain open until February 28th at 1700 (CT). You can access the survey here:

RESERVE

February has already proven to be a hectic month for flying, especially on reserve. Be sure to be armed with your contract knowledge on the basics of reserve. If you are on Reserve in February or March, please be sure to review the recent APFA Hotline that discusses Calling Out of Time and other reserve reminders here.

HOLIDAY INCENTIVE PAYMENTS

Recently, the company communicated an updated timeline regarding payments for the Holiday Incentive Payments. The special check at the end of February should include any sequences that could not be Red Flagged in December and January. The end of March will include any hours that are eligible for the Perfect Attendance payout. Read the most recent Company communication regarding incentive payments sent out February 11, 2022, on Jetnet.
