Voting Information + Illinois Amendment 1

Happy Fall ORD! We hope you are enjoying the changing of colors and cooler weather. With the Fall season also comes election season. We know you have heard this before, but the ballot you cast in the November election does have an impact. Support for Labor Unions is surging, and we have the potential to put power back in the hands of working people by voting YES on Amendment 1.

Early voting centers are available throughout Illinois. We want to make sure that ORD Flight Attendants participate in early (or mail-in voting) and get their ballots counted for the November 8th midterm election.

Federal, state, and local candidates are on your ballot. These races impact our jobs and our communities. Who are you sending back to Washington? Who do you trust to lead your local community? See who is running for office before heading to the polls.

Early Voting Locations

• Early voting locations within the City of Chicago
• Early voting locations for Cook County and surrounding areas of Chicago
• Early voting information for all other counties in Illinois

Mail-In Ballot Tracking

• Flight Attendants who live within the City of Chicago
• Flight Attendants in Cook County (excluding City of Chicago) – “What Is My Mail Ballot Status”
• Illinois Flight Attendants not in Cook County

Voting YES on Amendment 1

This election you have the opportunity to vote on a proposed amendment to the Illinois state Constitution. If passed, the amendment guarantees workers the fundamental right to organize and to bargain collectively and to negotiate safety conditions, wages, hours, working conditions, and economic welfare. The amendment would prohibit the passage of any new law within the State that restricts or prohibits workers from engaging in collective bargaining with their employer over wages, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment, like safety protocols or training.
