What Do We Want? Contract! When Do We Want It? Now!

On November 15th, hundreds of Flight Attendants in eleven bases across the system joined in the first of a series of solidarity events to show American Airlines Management that we are ready for a Contract Now!

The systemwide informational picket was a successful first event! Flight Attendants, supported by our Union siblings across the country, will continue to increase visibility with the public, the media, and American Airlines. Thank you to all of our sibling Unions who showed up in great numbers to support APFA, including, but not limited to:

• Allied Pilots Association
• Association of Flight Attendants, AFA-CWA
• Chicago Federation of Labor
• Communication Workers of America
• Starbucks Workers United
• Tarrant County Central Labor Council AFL-CIO
• Transport Workers Union (various locals)

This event would not have been possible without the hard work of the Flight Attendants who have joined our Contract ACTION Team. Flight Attendants volunteered their time in all eleven bases in several ways, including helping secure picketing permits, contacting local government representatives, assisting with the local media, assembling signs, and distributing t-shirts and lanyards. Thank you for all your hard work- we’ve only just begun!
