APFA LGA Base Brief – New York Winter Storm Warning

While we have had a mild winter, I want to remind Flight Attendants to take extra caution and plan as New York City, Southern New England, and many counties north of us have winter storm warnings effective this evening. Local management has briefed me on the plan of action for all three NYC airports we serve. I will remain in contact for updates and the progress of any issues reported.

JFK

• Employee Parking Lot 12 is being treated with salt to prevent ice buildup.
• The bus schedule has remained the same.

LGA and EWR

• Employee Parking lots managed by the prospective Port Authorities are also being treated and monitored, including the roadways leading to the employee parking entrances.
• The bus schedule has remained the same.

If you experience unsafe conditions as the weather moves in on your way to or from work, please report them immediately to the local MOD and keep yourself safe. Please drive carefully, and plan ahead if you commute on mass transit. If you run into any delays or difficulties with transportation to work, please notify scheduling and the local MOD as soon as you can safely communicate.

A mobileCCI message was pushed to notify Flight Attendants of a temporary Employee Bus Pick-up spot from Terminal 8 due to construction by the current pick-up location. This change will be brief, effective tomorrow, 2/28, at 4 am. Please refer to mobileCCI for more information.
