We are excited to highlight the new changes to the System Board of Adjustment (SBA) webpage at APFA.org, aimed at providing you with improved access to pertinent information and updates related to Notice of Disputes (NOD) and Grievances filed on your behalf.

Here are the key highlights:

• Step-by-step process of the NOD and System Board (SBA) and the Termination and Presidential Grievance Process.

• Open Case Visibility: As part of the new SBA webpage, you can now view the open cases at your base and those at SBA. You can easily filter through the Notice of Disputes/Grievance and see the status of cases at the Base and SBA. This increased transparency lets you stay informed about the progress of cases that may affect you.

Following the language in Section 31.K.1.d., APFA and the Company meet periodically at a QSB and Termination caucus. Working in a smaller group format has become a more productive, efficient, and expeditious way to reach settlements at SBA.

• The SBA section will include a breakdown of settled SBA cases, settled termination cases, and cases which move forward to Quarterly System Board (QSB) and Termination Arbitrations. While Base and SBA settlements for both QSB and Termination cases are always confidential, we will provide a high-level overview of the settlements achieved.

Your Base Presidents, Vice Presidents, BCR’s and your National Officers, working with our Regional Reps and in-house legal counsel, are dedicated to advocating for the contractual rights of Flight Attendants and ensuring enforcement as we continue to battle numerous contractual violations. Our Flight Attendants deserve to receive fair and equitable treatment in the workplace. We will work tirelessly toward achieving more settlements and expediting the return of wrongfully terminated Flight Attendants.
