DCA Trip Construction Survey Results

DCA Flight Attendants,

Last month we sent out an allocations survey to you, the DCA flight attendants, with 14 questions. It’s been no secret that DCA, IAD, and BWI have seen a decline in trip construction. We have seen PBS forced time and constraints at higher seniorities month after month.

We also have high Reserve numbers and not enough Lineholders. Much of the open time created all starts with the undesirable sequence construction.

353 DCA Flight Attendants took the survey. With this information, which had many decisive results in each category, we can share these results with the company in hopes that the survey results could better measure trip construction.

As the demographics of the DCA base have changed, the desire for certain types of flying has also changed. It was important to get the pulse of the base.
