Change to Reserve Acknowledgements

The company announced that beginning the week of November 6th, all required acknowledgments for Reserve awards and assignments must be done in Crew Portal. The company has advised that the ability to acknowledge awards/assignments will be removed from mobileCCI.

In the past, APFA has recommended using Crew Portal for these acknowledgments due to the fact that mobileCCI is an app that is always “open”. It does not require you to log in once you set it up on your device. If you acknowledge in CCI without refreshing the app, the acknowledgment may not be recorded. The company has issued missed trips to Reserve Flight Attendants because mobileCCI did not accurately capture and record the acknowledgement of an award or assignment.

With this change comes the addition of a pop-up confirmation of Reserve acknowledgments in Crew Portal. Once you click acknowledge, you will receive a confirmation notification like the screenshot pictured below:

We highly recommend taking a screenshot of the confirmation notification screen before clicking “OK”.

If you have any issues confirming acknowledgement, please call Crew Scheduling to acknowledge your reserve assignment.

Reserve Reminders

• ROTA: Required acknowledgments of ROTA awards and assignments must be made by 2230 HBT the day prior to an assignment. If you are flying or on a standby, you must acknowledge no later than 1 hour after debrief or the end of your standby (JCBA 12.J.4).
• ROTD: Awards and assignments made prior to the start of your RAP must be acknowledged at the start of your RAP, unless your RAP starts before 0500 HBT. Positive contact (a phone call from Crew Scheduling) is required for awards and assignments made after the start of your RAP.
