We would like to wish everyone a healthy and prosperous holiday season. As a reminder, the critical period for earning a banked point begins on December 22nd and ends on January 3rd. If you fly any trip between those days and do not have any absences, you will receive a banked point. Reserves serving on a RAP are also eligible. The point can be used to mitigate any future chargeable occurrences.

We have five upcoming designated holiday pay incentive days. December 24-26, and December 31-January 01. If the departure or arrival of the leg (local station time) touches the designated holiday period, you will be paid the additional 100% holiday pay premium. The pay is based on the schedule or actual block times of the leg, which means you will be paid whichever is greater. This will not include any paid and credited hours as a result of duty, trip, or minimum day rigs.

The January block hours remained about the same as compared to November. Year-over-year (YOY), our flying has increased by 6.4%. There will be an increase in Domestic wide-body flying which will result in additional wide-body turns.

January reserve percentages decreased from last month. The projected percentage is 22.2%, with 749 required heads. We can expect this downward trend to continue as we move past the holidays.

GRU will continue to operate a daily 777-300 with a 16.10-hour layover that can only be reduced to 14 hours in actual operations. GRU will also operate a daily 777-200 with a 36.45-hour layover.

EZE will operate two daily flights on the 787-8. The later flight will operate as a Rocket with a 13.05 layover which is reducible to 10 hours in actual operations, and is guaranteed 8 hours behind the door. The earlier night flight will also operate on the 787-8 with a 38.35-hour layover.

GIG will operate a daily 777-200 with a 36.45-hour layover. A second flight will operate a 787-8 on Tuesdays and Sundays with a 62.05-hour layover. On Thursdays, GIG will have an 86.05-hour layover.

MVD will continue to operate a 777-8 on Wednesdays and Fridays with a 58.40-hour layover. On Sundays, it will have an 82.40-hour layover. The first five days of the month will operate daily.

CDG will operate a daily 777-200 through the 14th with a 22.30-hour layover. Beginning on the 15th, it will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays with a 46.30-hour layover. Sundays will operate with a 22.30 layover. It will not operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays after the 14th

Issues With Signing In
We have received several reports from Flight Attendants that mobileCCI has not recorded their sign-in causing them to receive a late report. It is always recommended that you double check the NS either in FOS, or mobileCCI to ensure their is an asterisk next to your name indicating that your have successfully signed in. Please reach out to your Crew Attendance Manager if you receive an unwarranted late report.

LHR Increased Bag Searches on Arrival
We have received word that customs in LHR is performing extensive bag searches upon arrival. Please adhere to the customs policies when entering LHR. Below is American’s policy regarding removals of perishable items from the aircraft.

Removal of Catering Items from Aircraft
Flight attendants may enjoy any remaining perishable food items in-flight, mid-sequence and on a layover. This does not include double provisioned foods prior to the downline segment.

• Perishable foods (i.e. sandwiches, fruit, cheeses, etc.)
• Perishable non-alcoholic beverages, (i.e. milk, smoothies, etc.)

All perishable items removed from the aircraft must comply with local customs/agriculture laws.

• Example: in accordance with US Customs regulations, flight attendants are prohibited from removing any food items on US inbound international flights, including Canada and Mexico.

The following items must remain onboard the aircraft:

• Alcohol
• Unopened beverages
• Double provisioned food
• Packaged snacks (e.g. Buy on Board snacks, Premium snack basket items, and beverage accompaniments).
• Catering equipment/supplies.
