Happy New Year, PHL!

We hope that you had a great holiday season. Our allocations call took place on January 3rd. The preview of the February bid month is as follows:

Unpaid Voluntary Leave of Absence (VLOA)

Unpaid VLOAs are not being offered for the February 2024 bid month.

Staffing

We will not have any new hire Flight Attendants in February.

Note: If your LRD status says Reserve, and you toggle to Lineholder, please make sure you bid both Lineholder and Reserve layers in PBS. (7 layers as a Lineholder and 7 layers as Reserve).

Allocations 

February will have 145,021 hours of flying. This is an increase from January’s 140,563 and an increase from February 2023 which had 137,129.

February has an increase in 3-day sequences compared to January with a decrease in 1-day sequences. Our 2-day and 4-day allocation remains consistent with January 2024.

International Premium Destination (IPD) Pauses 

Please pay attention to the IPD schedule when bidding as not all IPD destinations are operating daily.
*Special note: departure and arrival times for LIS may vary throughout the month.

On-Duty All-Nighter (ODAN)

We will have an increase in ODANs for February compared to January.  BOS, IND, DTW, BTV, and CMH are available ODAN sequences to bid.

PIT Satellite Base

PIT flying is one hour less in February at 4,720 allocated hours compared to January’s 4,721.

Negotiations Update

Your APFA Negotiations team met in federally supervised mediation in Tampa, Florida, December 12th-14th. Our next negotiation session is scheduled for January 9th to 11th in DFW.

As we have previously reported, once we are in federal mediation, the timing and location of negotiations are controlled by the federal mediators. Negotiations Update #45: Bargaining Update
