Yesterday, we made it clear to American management that we are fired up, unified, and standing together for a contract with significant improvements to compensation, retirement, scheduling flexibility, and more. This strong strike authorization vote is a powerful tool necessary to reach an agreement.

As a Flight Attendant, if you test positive for marijuana (THC), regardless of whether it is state approved medical or recreational marijuana and regardless of whether you knowingly smoked a joint or unknowingly ate a marijuana edible, you will be deemed a test violator.

8.14.24 – Reduction in Staffing Presidential Arbitration Update

We wanted to update you on the Reduction in Staffing Presidential Arbitration held in April. APFA and Company will submit closing briefs to the Arbitrator on August 16, 2024. Once the Arbitrator receives the closing briefs, they will review the case in its entirety and render their decision.

The APFA Negotiating Committee held its third virtual town hall on August 13, 2024, to discuss the 2024 Tentative Agreement. During the event, we discussed the Reserve section, Satellite Bases, and the Implementation Schedule.

Voting for the 2024 Tentative Agreement is now open. This agreement is the result of 28,000 Flight Attendants standing united against a management team that was initially unwilling to move beyond the outdated industry standard.
